What is Profhilo?
Profhilo is a type of anti-ageing treatment. However, unlike anti-ageing injections or dermal filler, Profhilo provides the skin with a high concentration of hyaluronic acid. This is a naturally occurring acid that hydrates the skin while improving its tone, elasticity and texture.
Hyaluronic acid is completely safe for the skin. Once administered, it stimulates collagen and elastin production, affecting the overall skin rather than specifically targeting areas like other injectables.
What can Profhilo treat?
Profhilo can be used to treat the signs of ageing in the face where it will be administered to five key areas: the cheeks, side of the face, laughter lines, lines around the mouth and nasolabial folds – the lines stemming from the nose to the corners of the mouth.

The Treatment
Step 1 – Consultation
Before your Prfhilo treatment, we will first welcome you for a consultation to discuss your skin, what you’re looking to achieve and whether Profhilo is the best treatment for your skin’s needs. We’ll then talk through the treatment, explaining what will happen and answer any questions you may have.
Step 2 – Your Treatment
We’ll then welcome you back for your Profhilo treatment. First, we’ll invite you to make yourself comfortable. The treatment will then begin, and will involve you prescriber making 10 injections, five on each cheek. This can be a little uncomfortable for some, so we can apply numbing cream if necessary.
Before each injection is administered, your prescriber will then cleanse, sterilise and mark the locations of the 10 injection sites before administering the Profhilo in a process that takes no more than 10 minutes.
Step 3 – Aftercare
Immediately after the procedure, you may have some small bumps under the skin, however these will disappear within a few hours. For the first 24 hours following treatment, we advise the following:
- No exercise
- No alcohol
- No hot baths, showers or steam rooms
- No touching the face
- No makeup
- No painkillers containing aspirin
We also recommend that clients avoid facials for one week following treatment.

Is Profhilo safe?

Our highly qualified Doctors and Nurses will always perform a thorough consultation to check your suitability for the treatment before any treatment can occur. The injection contains naturally occurring compounds that are 100% safe for your skin.
How many Profhilo treatments will I need?
Before you start seeing visible results, you will need two sessions, four weeks apart. You will then notice an improvement in your skin, but to experience the most impactful, long-lasting results, we recommend you return for top-up treatments every three months.
Will Profhilo treatments hurt?
Profhilo treatments will not cause any pain as it requires no surgical action. All that it entails is an injection which may cause some individual’s slight discomfort. However, by using numbing cream, we can minimise this as much as possible.
When will I see results from my Profhilo treatment?
Immediately after treatment, you will notice your skin feels more hydrated, but after around eight weeks, you will experience the full impact as your skin becomes smoother, firmer and softer.
Is Profhilo the same as filler?
Profhilo and dermal fillers are two different treatments, each boasting their own benefits. Dermal fillers are used to add volume to targeted areas of the face, whereas Profhilo targets the skin’s overall appearance, working to hydrate cells to enhance texture and tone.
How long will my results last?
The results of your first two Profhilo treatments can last for up to six months, but this will vary according to your individual lifestyle. To see long-lasting, enhanced results, maintenance treatments are highly recommended every three months.
Will Profhilo treatments look natural?
